Ok the people who put the tank on eBay made BIG mistake.
They advertised as 250L, when in reality it's closer to 350L.

Length 102.7cm
Depth 47.7cm
Height 74.5cm

So this is what I thought:

12 Rummynose Tetras,
12 Cardinal Tetras,
8 Congo Tetras,
2 Banded gouramis
And a Bristlenose Catfish.

I have researched and I think it's ok I'm just checking,
If anyone has owned any of these fish, or know a lot about them please comment.
If you can think of anything which would be more suitable post that too.

Thanks guys,
TekFish

Thanks for that, I was a bit worried about the compatibility.
Thanks for putting my mind at rest! :good:

Any other opinions are still welcome.

Just my opinion, but.. I would choose one of the three tetra types and just get like 30 of them. In such a big tank, I think you need a nice shoal of the same ones. I would also add a few more gouramis, or other similar size fish, to break up the tank a bit.

I would love a 350L tank! Give us some pics :D

Are those the external measurements? Ie is that if the tank was filled to the brim too?

Good stocking :good:

I was thinking the same tbh. Not very often this sort of thing happens. Maybe they were the measurements for the tank as a whole and not to the max water line

It is that big on the inside, yeah.

Bang the numbers of the tetra up to the 20's, maybe dropping one species and then have a great shoal of cory's (10-15) on the bottom. They shoal up beautifully in greater numbers. The plec wont bother them and the cory's wont care about the plec either.

Just one question, how thick is the glass, cos 74cm/30inches high is a lot, its not a vivarium is it?

Nope it's not a Vivarium.
And the glass is 8mm.

I do like corys but I was looking for something a bit more colourful, like Bolivian Rams.

Would they be ok?
Or any other colourful bottom feeders?

I would think the glass would be thicker than that at 30" tall, mine is 10mm at about 24"

Have yougot a pic?

No we haven't bought it yet.

We basically took these dimensions, because we liked them, and sent them to an aquarium building company so they can make it out of wood and we're waiting on a quote.

Personally I wouldn't get one of those tanks as they are not very good quality when it comes to the stand. There is a member on here that has one and has written a full review on it and if I remember rightly he doesn't think much of it. There are much better tanks around 2nd hand and you will find they are also cheaper :) its only just over 3 foot so can't see it being 350 litres. 250 seems right

If you take the measurements and put them into a volume calculator it is that big.
I wasn't actually going to keep the stand either, I was going to have one built.

Could I have a link to that members review.

Sorry iv looked but can't find the review. The member is BigBruiserAl. Think he may also have the 250 litre your looking at.

That's a link for the all pond solutions tank that's the next size up. It's still as tall and as wide but it's 4 feet long instead of 3.3 feet. It's 330 litre. These tanks are just over 29 inches tall but that's with the light fittings too. So I'd say they would be around 26 inches to the max water line

That's not what I meant by the size is 350L

Take these measurements:

102.7 Length
47.7 Depth
74.5 Height

Google 'Volume Calculator Fish Tank'
Click on the link to the website called 'Think Fish'

And put in these measurements.
The volume says 364.959855

I did find the review and have decided not to get one but still do the above.
