Hi All

I hope this is the correct section to post this question.
I have a 50GPD RO unit that I have just installed, It works fine with no leaks but is PAINFULLY slow.
I would be surprised if I got 4 gallons a day out of it, There is a pressure guage on the waste line which is showing about 40-50 PSI.
Would a booster pump help with this?
It will take weeks to fill my tank at this rate.
Cheers.

Yup, that's about right. The 50 GPD is a best case scenrio and requires a delivery temperature of about 25° and quite a high delivery pressure (can't remember what it is tho). Our UK tap water is usually cool and not always high pressure (40+ PSI isn't bad)

I have a 5 stage 50 GPD and I get a litre every 20 minutes (which is about 72 litres or 16 Gallons a day). There are a couple of suggestions in this forum for improving this, such as warming the water supply (this improves the rejection rate of the membrane if I remember correctly) Or you could try a pump.

Have a good search through this forum for some ideas

Thanks for the reply BrianH.
I have looked at some of the other posts which are very useful.
It also seems I may be getting a good flow rate after all, I think I was suffering from watching the tank fill syndrome :D
I left it over night and what a difference its made.
Cheers.
