Thank you! He's a lil dummy but also the least aggressive male I've ever kept :D
Is the betta in your profile yours?? what a beauty! I was going to keep one in my 20L nano but one of my guppy turned so aggressive he's in there by himself now :///
Yes he is! His name is "Ace" and he's a Spadetail "HellBoy" Betta. (You can see a better picture of him here)

Keeping bettas by themselves are the best option for them, especially with guppies. They are known to nip long fins. The betta may also mistake the guppies long colorful fins, for another bettas fins.

So pretty! Ah, I know, this is why the guppy is there alone, he was in my 50L but turned aggressive to all the other fish, I had the 20L prepared for a betta but because of the aggressive guppy needing a home I'll wait with getting the betta until I find a new home for this guppy male or keep him until it's his time :) (would never keep a betta with another feature fish)

I love the yellow sunsets and the wild types so dearly, I hope we can add some more detailed care info about these little gems here because I find the info online to be lacking for sure

Yes, there isn't a lot of info online about them. I also find that Honey Gourami are one of the most underrated gourami, which is a shame since they are really great little fish.

Completely agree! I think I like their temperaments but also just their shape? the dwarfs and others get kind of bulky and less fancy looking over time while the honeys just kind of stay cute shaped? friend shaped. (and the wild males with their deep black bellies and white top fin are just the coolest)

I know exactly what you mean! They do have a really nice shape, and their little faces are just absolutely adorable.
