Its been a while since I last kept tropical fish. We me and my partner fay decided we would get a small tank for the kids, we filled it with guppies and tetras. after looking at all the fish and realising all the fish we wanted this tank just wasn't big enough for them. So the next day we went and bought a fluval roma 200 which so far is the home to 4 dwarf gouramis 2 angels 4 ember tetras 2 electric blue rams and a sailfin plec. We gone for a rock decor which we plan to.add some kind of vegetation to. We have some eleocharis acicularis to put in so far. Water is a bit mirky hopefully it will settle.

Hi and welcome to the forum

You need some floating plants like Water Sprite (Ceratopteris thalictroides/ cornuta) to make the fish feel more secure.

I would remove the branch because it has lots of pointy bits on that could damage the fish if they panic and swim into it.

The angelfish might need a bigger tank when they get older.

Well, welcome to TFF...
Give it some time and your water will be much more clear than right now. I do understand how decorative this tree may look like but I agree with Colin that your fish might get damaged by this tree. But the tank looks great!

when I read the thumbnail I mistakenly said " returning euthanist" (you know someone who euthanizes) and I wasn't too sure about ya.
the tree looks good but won't feel good when the fish touch it.

Yeah I been thinking that tbh but we plan to wrap it in moss so then it won't be so sharp. Let me know what you think. Cheers for the advice tho much appreciated.

Give it some time and your water will be much more clear than right now. I do understand how decorative this tree may look like but I agree with Colin that your fish might get damaged by this tree. But the tank looks great!

We added a few more fish too see if you can spot them. Need to do a water change as a result the nitrates have raised slightly.
