finally got the tank filled up today and everything was spot on for a few hours but now the return pump has started making a noise. do you have to bleed the system or anything?

Two things I'd check

1. See if it is vibrating against something, keep it away from the sides and try to slip something like a sponge underneath and see if the noise stops

2. Take it apart and take a look at the impeller. Sometimes when a pump rattles something has happened to the impeller.

its fixed solid with the suction cups so 1 isnt the problem, i did wonder about 2 but it seems to have sorted itself out for now

If it happens again also check the power cables. I have had pumps which seemed to be incredibly loud but it turned out that it was the power cable vibrating on the edge of the tank which was causing all the noise.

ill have to check that one out :good: started again yesterday so if its not that i think its the impellar. £15 for the replacement, will be buying a new pump if the impellar has gone.
