Restless denison barbs during a water change

Stunning fish. I wouldn't say they're restless? Seem to be enjoying it! Do you temperature match? And what temp do you keep them at? They like it cool dont they? Wondering if they're enjoying some cooler water. What length tank is it?

No i agree they arent restless.
Mine do the same thing during water changes flow surfing

Just schooling.
Water kept at 23 and refilled with water of the same temp.
Tank is 5ft.

They are telling you they like their water oxygen rich and with a good current. Torpedo shaped, silver, active... all those clues suggest that's a fish from moving water.

Most of the fish do like a fast flow.The corys like it too.The tiger barbs are more lazy and like to sit behind a rock,letting the flow pass them by,just like in nature.

When it comes to schooling fish there needs to be enough of them for them to feel safe,and they are mesmerising.

Odessa,gold,tigers,green,melon,pentazona and Dennison barbs and black ruby
The barbs are quite chilled out.I started with 18 barbs 2yrs ago and their numbers whittled down to 6 over that period.
I now have 2 fully grown tigers out the 6 left,and the other 4 haven't grown.
The two big ones look amazing due to their size
