Some of you may have seen this plea for help before Christmas.

http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/411367-can-any-experienced-nottingham-aquarist-help/

I removed some fish from one of my mature tanks to another tank and Hubby & I went and collected these. It was a very distressing day and I had to choke back tears at taking apart such a beautiful tank and took nearly 2 hours to remove all the plants and fish. Once home I transferred the fish to the empty mature tank, in the kitchen so I could keep a close eye on the newcomers. This vid (sorry not great) you can see some of the lumps on the fins of the tetra, the marks on the cardinals didnt show up.

Now after a couple of weeks of daily water changes, extra vitamins in their food and tlc I am really pleased with how they are doing. All the lumps and bumps have gone, out of the 30+ fish I have only lost 2 one otto (who was really really skinny who died the day after the move) and 1 emperor tetra, who had worm like markings in his fins (did a post in the emergency section) sadly he started to loose colour and balance so I had to euthanise him. As I promised these fill will live out their days here in my mad mad fish world. They all seem a lot happier and healthier already, but they will remain quarantined for another couple of months yet.

Sorry the vid is not great, I have low level lighting in the tank at the moment to keep stress on these guys as low as possible.

That's great to see they have such a clear improvement already.
Must have been heartbreaking for the previous owner who clearly loved the fish and had such a good initial setup.
I'm sure it was easier for them knowing that you are taking care of the tank and giving the fishes best chance of survival!

Good luck and hope they continue to thrive :D

Great to hear there were few casualties and the survivors are looking more healthy with vivid colours. :)
