One of the two lights in my Marineland Eclispe tank went out and it's not the bulb. Marineland doesn't offer a replacement for just the one fixture, instead only the whole part for $54/30£! I could pick up an entire used unit for 1/2 that but it seems like a shame to toss an otherwise fine unit. So... has anyone replaced one of these and know where I can get just the replacement part? Is it relatively easy and safe thing to do? I'd rather not fry myself or my fish. :X -_- Thanks in advance :)

Unless you know what you're doing its best not to 'play' with electronic ballasts of any kind, they run off mains voltage and use capacitors, etc. which can pack a very big punch.

that's why I'm asking... I don't want to "fiddle" or "play" with anything. :/ But I wouldn't mind learning how to repair one properly... if possible. thanks
