Please can someone tell me if the rena cor heating cables come with a plug or transformer - or do I need to buy these seperately.

Also I need the 25 watt option for the volume of my tank but is a heating cable of 4.5m in length long enough for an aquarium 48 inches long and 12 inches wide?

A transformer is not required for the rena heating cable and they come supplied witha plug. You are inbetween needing a 25 and 50w. But 25 should be sufficent.

thanks,
On the website where I have seen them they state that the 25 watt is 4.5m in length is this long enough?

I also notice the JBL protemp basis which is 4m heated in length but has 2m each end unheated each end for connection to the transformer, so I assume that the JBL is 8m in length altogether (is this correct?) - has the renacor got something similar or is it only 4.5m in length overall?

tropico,

What are you paying for the Rena Cor? I would try the AquaEl cable first. Its loads cheaper. Try Richard at Aqua Essentials. Sensible prices, and always good advice. Theres lots of other stuff there too. Great prices aswell.
