The pellets are much more effective. It clears water and dissolves in what is just seconds.
The problem with this is and I'm not bitching or stalking. I just read topics, not search individuals postings are:
A. Yes the pellets may work and give the desired cosmetics. i.e. clear water, but it will not take the problem away. Just abate it until it returns.
B. The root cause of the cloudiness would be better off identified and eradicated rather than controlled.
C. If it is a problem with the Substrate then it would eventually settle and clear, so I assume it is nothing to do with the substrate apart from -
D. I work for William Sinclair (J Arthur Bowers) who produce Vermiculite via SilvaPerl for use in gardens and I have never heard of it being used in aquariums. Does it say aquarium safe on the bag (I am not at work so can't check for you)
If I were you I would post this in the planted section and see if it is the vermiculite that is the root cause, and if it is then you can eliminate the root cause and not have to buy water clearing pellets for the rest of the century.
Finally It might just be the phase that a lot of new tanks go through where the water stays cloudy for quite a while until the balance of the tank corrects itself or is corrected.
And I don't want any more aggressive abusive pms or I will be reporting. you know who you are.
All views stated above are opinions and should not be taken as fact unlike other people like to incinuate with their advice. you know who you are too.
