Regal Tang

ok and will the waterlife paragon be ok for it because it doesnt actually say its for white spot it jus says its a tonic

By the way this help is much appreciated thanks

For white spot you'd need Octozin. It's the only medication I see here that treats whitespot without harming invertabrates. :/ Apologies for recommending Paragon, this obviously doesn't seem to treat whitespot. I haven't used Octozin personally but this seems to be the right one.

i have also heard as a semi preventative of whitespot, using garlic on their food means it comes out on their slime coat and makes it hard for the parasite to recognise its a fish.

not sure if there is any truth in that but it came from 1 of my few trusted sources.

Have you thought about adding a UV Unit

Tangs get Ich at the drop of a hat tbh

What the specs on your tank

Age
Size
Biofiltration
Inhabitants
ETC

as there may be something stressing the Tang

Also there are loads of myths about feeding Garlic

Personally I have seen it work in my tank - but it does not hide the fish from the Ich, Garlic accerlaerates the feeding responce in fish

What does a UV unit do? Also one of my clown fish seems to have some thing on the side of his face it looks like mould or somethin

i also heard a common reason for tangs to get ich is the tank ppl try and keep them in are far too small for them, hence stress, the need ALOT of room to swim.
