Hey im looking for a cheap easy way to replace my reflectors on my juwel aquarium as the white reflectors that came with it have split and cracked, i saw some where some one used tin foil ?

would this work ? and if so would it be better than the cracked white ones ?

Thanks in advance, also if if any has any ideas about rocks or stones that i can grab from local wood land check my other threads please, going on a mission today to sort out my tank !

Cheers

Matt

Kitchen foil is fine: that's what I've used for years.

You could even superglue it to the current reflectors, to reinforce them and give the foil shape.

ok great, gona look at this in the next few mins, thanks

You could just paint the current reflector white.

Edit, missed that they'd cracked, you could buy another reflector or use a piece of white guttering, not ideal, obviously the best reflectors are the ones made for the tubes.

There are no reflectors built into the tank I Have, so I covered the inside of the lid with tin foil I only tape it on because it loses its ability to reflect after a while so it needs replacing every so often, i've used this for a long time and have had no issues with it.
