Have you tried your lfs ? It depends what service your lfs offer, so ring them and ask.

You more or less have three option :

1) Freeze your empty bottle overnight and take to the shop to have refilled. For the normal 500g bottle this would cost approx £10 - £12 or so.

2) Take your empty cylinder to the shop and exchange for another (this will obviously mean you get a different cylinder every time. Cost more or less the same.

3) Take your frozen cylinder to a Fire Extinguisher refill company - costs about half the price or less :)

I looked up gas bottle suppliers in the yellow pages and found one that supplied bottles and gas.

I had to rent a bottle for about £25 per year and the gas was £15.
The CO2 is food grade (as supplied to pubs for use with coke and beer).

Bottle size is about 76 cm high and 15 dia and holds just under 6.5 kilos of gas.

You do need a regulator for the connection (approx £15).
