one of my female guppies are very pregnant. But since i placed her in the 10 gallon 2 weeks ago, she still did not drop her young. she sits in corners of the tank and gets very easily scared when i try to feed her. She seems stressed. i can't figure out why she is all alone in the tank, and the tank is cycled properly as it is showing no signs of problems in my tests. Any pointers on how to reduce the stress, or should i just place her back in the main tank and let her do her thing there. I wont be able to rescue any fry if so bc of the angel fish, gourami, and corydoras. thank you.

Do a water change. Scared the babies right out of mine! j/k I really wouldn't advise that. Just be patient. She will drop when it is time.

Alright. 2 years ago i had a fish that did the same thing when she was pregnant. next thing i know she jumped out of the tank and died :(

Ouch! Keep the lid on tight! Maybe move her back with the rest of the fish? My livebearers don't leave the tank when they birth. I have a large enough tank with enough hidey holes that most of my babies survive.

Make sure she has plenty of cover if you want her to calm down. If she feels exposed, it adds to her stress.

Okay, i will add more plastic plants. I also been keeping the lights out.
