it finally came in, it seems to work pretty well by the way it looks. one question. i use a diy bottle yeast and should i just leave it on all night? i dont have a bublle counter but id guess the bubble rate is like 1 per sec or 1 per 2 sec

yes leave it on all night, if ou are worried about gassing your fish, then run an air pump (at night only) and switch it off 2 hours before lights on so it gives the CO2 chance to build up to suitable levels again.
