Well I have been somewhat unhappy with my 45 gl pentagon tank for awhile now, so I changed it! I moved it out of the fish room/study into the living room. Found new homes for some of the fish in a display tank at lfs and got some replacements!!! Still lacking a few inhabitants, but I will add them gradually. I also changed out my substrate, background, lighting and some of my decorations. Tell me what you think.

Yes it is called black beauty sand blasting sand. Takes some SERIOUS washing, lol. But for a 50 lb bag it was around $5 and it comes in fine, medium, and coarse.

Looks MUCH better, that really is very nice.

TOTM for sure.

Thanks so much!

This is medium grain. I had to do some research to find a place that carried it. I called several people who are sandblasters and asked if they used it and where they got it. I ended up getting it from a distributor here in Houston, T-Tex. I have tried all three grades in varoius tanks and the all work, it just depends on the look you want.

I like it, but the rocks should be more natural looking and not perfectly spaced out.
