He was one of my first fish, and has always swam about like he owns the tank, but recently has started chasing my danios and mollys, hasnt nipped any fins atall just seems to randomly chase them about. Is this anything to worry about or will it calm down? Dont want to have to get rid of him hes awesome!

What is your tank set-up like? Red-tail sharks get rather large and need upwards of 30 gallons for a full-grown fish.

These fish are naturally terriatorial and like to have their own section of the tank. Many will chase intruders out of their area, and if the tank isn't big enough, this chasing can get nasty.

If he's just started it could be because the danios and mollys are getting bold and intruding into his space, or maybe he is getting too big for the tank and needs more space, or maybe he's just getting bigger and older, and thus more terriatorial.

Red tailed sharks actually require minimum of 55 US gallons.

They are naturally agressive and do claim large areas of the tank as their own territory hence the chasing away of other fish.

What size is the tank? Anything smaller than a 55 gal will only serve to increase the agression as the shark reaches maturity

Actually I've noticed with my red tail shark that if you give him a cave of some sort, he claims it as his own and guards it pretty good and not so much the whole tank. Only downside is that you don't see him as often.

first thing he/she needs is 40+uk gallons of water. but nothing shorter than 3 feet.

if you got that, then try some caves/hiding places. these guys are known to be aggressive (its a territory thing). whilst they only grow to 5-6inches, they need to swim. other shark types, like Rainbow of Bala, can cause problems.

Dude, dont worry you aint the only one with a nutter shark lol, i got a young male, which always seems to chase my rainbow shark even though ive got caves and alot of plants,

I dont think its much to worry about, my red tail did just the same. Its better to give them a cave or something a good size for them to hid in and protect. It worked with mine. :fun:
