Oh nice! A lot of red in the leaves! What outdoor temperature was it that it was grown in? Direct or indirect sunlight?

Red root floaters are red whenever there is a deficiency in soluble phosphate. I have seen that several times inn my tank. When grown without a phosphate deficiency the leaves are green. In the wild they typically have green leaves and red roots. Note test kits cannot tell the difference between soluble and insoluble phosphate.

I could not get them to grow well in my tank. I think I have too much surface movement. It's not much, but I guess they really need stillness to really grow. I had them in sort of a ring, but it was a pain in the butt to maintain, so I tried to just let them grow floating around. Didn't work well.

At my place they do well when kept in a still surface till softly moving. Too much movevent at the surface doesn't seem to work for them overhere.

I think if I would have kept them in the ring, they would have been fine, but I didn't like the way it worked.
