How quick do they grow? Have the chance of 6 which are currently an inch long. Current tank is 180l but have plans to upgrade to 300l but was wondering how quickly they would grow.

I have 10 in a 860 litre tank. Good idea to upgrade to a 300litre. If they are all the same size (ish) they should grow at similar rates, but to get to full size 6" will take a few years in my experiance. I have had 1.5" that are now only 3" after 18 months. However my group are different sizes and when it comes to feeding, the bigger ones can get at the food better. mine currently range from 2" to 6".

If you are considering when to upgrade, you have time, just do it sooner as you feasibly can rather than later. Dont want to stunt the guys. Basically they arent such rapid growers that you'll have full grown 6" fish in 6 months. That is my experiance.

Thank you for the reply. I plan on upgrading early next year so I think I might take them. They are all currently the same size.
