Red Fish is acting funny

Hey all, need advise.
My Red male used to be very active ALL THE TIME. Now he spends most of his time lying on the bottom of his tank. He looks sad....? Nothing different other than that...doesn't look any different really. I changed his tank water, and I feed him plenty, temps okay. What do you think it could be? I miss my perky fish. HELP!

What are the levels of ammonia, nirtite and nitrate? ph? Have you definately dechlored the water? How old is he? Tank size? Anything odd about his appearence?

you matched the temp AND dechlorinated?

my fish Gus(rest in peace) did that a long time ago! im September he was laying in the bottom of his home.i swear he was ok after a waterchange ..ps. do betta fish yawn?

They do something very similar to yawning - I don't know what it is but they all do it. They stretch out their gills or something.

Well, there have been alot of changes lately, perhaps I will just give him some time. i think he is depressed.
