Red Ear Slider

I just got a wee little red ear slider. Its only been about 24 hours but he still won't eat and he is very very scared of me.

Anybody have advice???

Well if anybody is readin I put a blanket over the tank to give him privacy. I peeked in about 15 min later and he had eaten and he is basking!

Eating before basking is great it aids digestion and helps with their vitamin absorbtion

I'm not a RES expert but I've read many posts/threads about them and they get HUGE. I hope you have plans for a very large aquarium.

Hi, I'm no expert either.. but my brother has 2 red eared sliders and he's had them for a long time and he says that you can learn a lot from this website here

Yes I'm aware of the size. Almost 12 inches for the females. We already have the tank ready.
