I have kept them before and always made sure they had land to climb out of onto.

But i wonder if i can keep them with my Current set up.

I have lots of Pymgmy Cories but these are fast little buggers. Don't have anything slow moving apart from the Banjo Cats.

Would they work out. The tank has a 5Inch wide Ledge all the way around it and that i planted with semi aquatic plants. so they could live in these when out of the water.

yes they need land.....the reason i know this is because i used my little friend called 'google' and he told me everything. Just type in 'Red Claw Crabs' into google and you will get all of your answers right there.

I've always kept them in brackish and it is my understanding they are a brackish species. I've heard they slowly fungus and die off in freshwater, but I've only kept them at an sg of about 1.008. Seems like you have had success in freshwater though.
Sand is also necessary as they burrow. Unfortunatley, I wouldnt keep them in your setup, considering the different water requirements of the fish and crabs. The cories esp. would suffer with slighty salty conditions. They really need more land than water too.
How about setting up a 10 gallon species tank? I was able to keep mine sucessfully with fiddler crrabs aswell!

Good luck to you Gill :good:

Might have to try and sneek some into the empty 10 gallon under the main tank. Its empty now as the endlers are in the main tank now.
Getting ro water will be harder as the only marine LFS in cov has closed down, and the nearest marine LFS is over 25 mins drive on a good day.
