Red Claw Crab / Cichlid?

So i finally got a bigger tank and am looking at putting some red claw crabs in my old smaller tank (a standard 1 ft tank ~10 g). I will most likly make the water low-end brackish as teh crabs like this. However my wife would also like some cichlids.

Does anyone know if there are any smaller ciclids that would be compatible with my red claw crab and would be ok in brackish water?

I have also mirrored this post in the invert and brackish forums.

To my knowledge, there are no brackish african cichlids. Cichlids and crabs don't do that well anyways because they occupy the same level of the tank, and the crabs can catch them when they are sleeping.
