I know, he was my little buddy, was very upset and shocked - they were fine for a few weeks, then they moved to a 30g tank from their original 15g and the commons decided to become territorial

Needless to say i've learned from my mistake, and to never trust pet shops when it comes to fish! He used to hand-feed so I suppose starving wasn't a problem.

That was a few weeks ago when I said that. I wasn't very educated about fish back then. I gave my commans to a friend with a outdoor pond.
