Just to try and keep the post on subject..
Yes its a macro algae.
I amnot sure what type of algae nut i can tell you what its not at least )
Haliptilon, Codiacea or Rhodophycaea. These are all reds algaeas but are braod leaves rather than bubble.
I like the red algaes are it adds a bit of extra colour to the tank and also provides a similar filtration service as the green algaes. The reds do tend to be a bit more dependant on Calium though so monitor your levels. At the moment its is not very large but in time it might effect levels
