I have just got 4 gorgeous little angels. described as red angels, which are actually a pinky bronze colur with a deeper red at their cheeks. I googled to get some info and a site said they were like german blushers and would lose their colour as they mature. Is this true?

is this what you have?

mine was sold to me as a blood angel :fun:

I believe they are a newer color variation in angels. There are now koi angels as alot of you may know that have 100% orange coverage. If given food thats has a high caretenoid content the color will stick around much longer. I wouldnt be a bit surprised to see dyed angels considering everything else they die ie....oscars, danios, parrots and Ive even seen dyed cories.

WOW,The-Wolf....do you know if that's natural or some sort of ink/tint that eventually will fade off.
Anyone has more info. on them?
s/he is as natural as a selectivly bred angel can be.
I noticed last night, after posting the pic, that the fins have started to
develope darker; I'll try and get another pic today.

s/he is definatly not dyed!

Mines are just like that, Wolf - they also have darker fins and some splodges of black on their bodies as well. I'll see if I can get some pics. Your one is lurvely!!

this is the best I could get today, as you can see he has darkened a bit from the previous picture
