Recurring White spot

Hi guys

I recently notice that I've recurring prob with white spot. for any case, I would put the recommended medicine and period. then everything is ok. However, 2-3 days later, it appears again. same treatment, everthing ok , then again white spot.

Today ive checked the PH and it is about 8-8.5. The water temp was 26"C. I use an external filter and a UGF. I also have a heater.

Could anybody help plz in solving this problem coz my lfs told me that it was due to PH prob.

PH does not cause ich. Stress to the fish will, and if they are stressed due to the high PH that could lead to it. What is the PH of your tapwater? Did you remember to remove all carbon from the filter and tank when adding the meds? I would try dosing for a period of 20-30 days if you are still having problems after the initial period. Have you lost any fish due to ich? How long has your ph been that high?

what kind of medicine are you using for ich? Here is what I recommend you doing buy some jungle ich away it works great raise the temp to 85 degrees The reason I tell you to get jungle is because if you have any bottom feeders it isnt that harsh on them. I havent found anything else that will work better myself I think jungle and mardel makes the best medicine money can buy here in the usa anyway.

well I don't remember exactly when I made the last PH test. It should be about 1mth ago. I've added solution to reduce the PH and it's now 7.5. I did have 1 fish which died due to ich, but it was more than 1 mth ago. It could be due to my external filter. I'll check this part.
