Hi guys,, Just wondered what brand heaters you all use and recommended
I need to buy a couple for some tanks i'm installing
3ft 180l & 4ft 3.50L

I have used various brands, makes and models before
Only problems i luckily have ever had is from Juwel heaters, just giving up working..

been reading few reviews storys on here from various people
but being there's a varied selection out there,
would be great to get some further insight to which brands you guys generally use

many thanx

For standard heaters you wont go wrong with visitherm.... ive known people having these for 10 years plus and still going strong.

There are a few others i do like though.... Elite have never given me any issues nor have clearseal but clearseals feel really cheap.

excellent

Was just looking at those visitherm one's on a online shop who recommended them as their best selling brand,,

Or if you are using external filters you wont go far wrong with Hydor Inline Heaters.

Best of the best IMO

+1
heats much faster than traditional heater for same wattage.

have you considered heater integrated canister filters?

Hi guys,, thanx for your info.. yes i do use external filters, mainly fluval 405's
never heard or looked into these external heaters before.
would they work with the fluvals? anychance of a couple of links to show me which ones i should be looking at?
i can't even think how they would work off the top of my head?
thanx again
Ben

awesome thanx, just found this usefull vid on the tube as well

i hear what your saying about the ribbed hosing, they seem really nice idea, and good as not visible in the tank also
think i will def try one of these on my next tank set up

but changing an existing one over could end up being a bit messy right now,,
thanx for the info!

thanks.gif

btw have these ever been known to get stuck on? prob my biggest fear of heaters...
