Hi

Would someone please advise me what lighting to use in a planted tank jewel rio 240.

I was thinking about the dennerle T8 special plant tube but would i use this at the front or back of my two lights and either a power glo at the back or aquaglow at front dependant on the dennerle light

Would really appreciate some help on this matter.

Cheers

Matt

Two proven performers in combination are -

Interpet Daylight Plus and Interpet Triplus
Arcadia Freshwater and Arcadia Original Tropical

The Dennerle in combination with the Daylight, Triplus or Freshwater would also work well, but bear in mind the orange colour rendition of the Dennerle is not to all tastes.

I second the Arcadia Freshwater & Original combo.

This combination also has the added benefit that it will make the colours of your fish literally explode!
When using the single standard light that came with my Juwel tank, it look dull & dreary. What a difference adding those two tubes made!

Sorry to drag this thread back up again but if i was to go for the Interpet Daylight Plus and Interpet Triplus which would light would go at the front?

Would ity matter?

I have the Daylight Plus at the front and Triplus at the back. My only reasoning for this was that most of the biomass was at the back. I have thought about swapping them around, but have never got round to it. Give both ways a try and see how you get on.

I love the colours that my Interpet lights give and I can thoroughly recommend them.
