Rebecca black has a betta in the most ridiculous tank (if you could call it that ) ever! Water looks cloudy, no filter, no heater, and a fake plant stuck in the middle. Some people really need to learn how to keep a fish

Even though he lives in horrible conditions, he's made a bubble nest, so he must be happy. Not sure why he would be though Poor boy!

I saw this on youtube, her betta is in the background of her video, and It doesn't look very happy to me! Surely she could clean him out, or even pay someone to clean him out, Yeeesh

He didn't move for a whole 30 seconds... if you seen a betta in a 5+ gallon you couldn't keep him still lol.

Quite often, a desperate Betta will also build a bubblenest.

oh i pity the betta, having to be around the person who sang the worst song ever. If i were him, i would jump the tank when i hear her sing it or choke myself on the fake plant.

Also I read that it's in a betta's nature to build a bubble nest regardless if he's happy or not.

Ah, my bad. My boys only make nests when they're happy, so I just assumed hers would too.

To be fair, although it has no heater of filter, the water doesn't look too bad. We're just making assumptions, she may actually do regular water changes!

it is small but the water isnt to bad looking except for the unhappy betta ive seen worse, like ive seen people who still have their bettas in the small glass jars that they came with and crammed small decorations in it
or they throw them in an empty vodka bottle

It's still unacceptable though. Poor thing. I feel so sorry for all the fish that are mistreated - goldfish and bettas seem to be the most mistreated fish ever, especially goldfish as they are so common, cheap and hardy and therefore many people have little regard for their care or health

ya cus people get because people get them because their nice looking like i seen parents buy their 6 year old daughters two red eye tetras because they wanted a fish bet you 10 bucks those fish were shoved into a bowl and more than likely their dead because the parents dont want them and the little kids their age dont know how to take care of fish like that

people now a days ive noticed either
A: dont read information bout the fish their getting, bettas being one of them
B: and the people who i see that no nothin bout fish that i see looking at the fish just because the want some pretty sitting on there desk at home and they care bout the needs that come with it
