Great Lakes
Always do right, not popular...
We are always saying to shop for used equipment to save a little money.
It may be a little early to gloat, but here is a deal story far yall....
The wife of one of our towns prominent lawyers came into work today,(she is SERIOUSLY smokin...but that's another story..lol..), and in talking to her I mentioned our reef aquarium. She perked up and asked me if her husband ever told me about theirs. I said no, and asked her to tell me about it as I am always happy to know another reefer in our small community.
Her Story
"We went and bought this huge tank, it is something like 180 or 200 gallons, I think it is six or eight ft long. It has a beautiful stand and top for it with all this special lighting for saltwater, all kinds of pumps and filter things. We set it up, had all that rock and stuff going good for a couple of months before we got fish. Then soon after, it started to leak at a seam one night. They live in a new log home, so they just give the live stuff away and drained the tank!!"
Then she told me she would sell it to me! I got to thinking about how I had just gone through this, and wasn't real interested in spending hudreds of dollars on another system if the tank might need repaired. But being a true tankaholic, I started to consider that an extra skimmer and some pumps could come in handy, and if the tank is really a huge one, I could repair it, if the price was right. I started adding up in my mind...let's see..I have a few hundred stashed here, a couple hundred stashed there...I held my breath and asked how much???
FIFTY DOLLARS!!!!!
Yes! 50.00
I'm going to look at it tomorrow...
