You either say "yes boycott tetra" or say you think it's "Ok to encourage children torture fish"

Ummm yea, that's a good poll.


I disagree with the way that the info was was so simply explained and to make it think it was so easy to have an aquaa setup, but I love my fish. There are a couple Tatra products they like. I'm not stupid enough to deny my fish what they love.

You guys can if you want, but if you take away what your fish like, then you're only hurting your fish if you just boycott and stop buying their products.

The poll should have had something like- Do you disagree with the way it was misrepresented and are you angry and going to write and complain about it?

I would have voted for that because that's how I felt and what I did.

Since it only said boycott or encourage children to torture fish, I abstained because it's obviously a set up and not a true poll for the peoples feelings here at this forum.

sorry maybe i got something wrong here, but what is soo wrong about children having pet fishes?

Is there actually a legal age regulation for ppl to be allowed to keep fishes?
serrously, dont any of you remember the first time u/your family got some pet fishes?

sorry but no offence intended but it seems like many of you that posted about being disgusted seem to be around the age of having a midlife crisis, what is so evil about children being allowed to have pet fish?

if you read the previous posts, you will see that people are not against kids having pet fishes, it's the way which the program presents the topic ie. quick and easy, and as i'm sure that most of us know this isn't the way of our wonderful hobby, in fact a lot of people here in the uk were started off keeping fish by winning a goldfish at the "fair ground" as children!!!

5 gallons is to small for a marine setup.

I would have to disagree with you on this. The tank is completely overstocked with fish and has a totally unpractical stock to boot. But if you head to www.nano-reef.com you will find several 2.5 gal - 5 gal nano reef setups being kept successfully. The difference is they are keeping corals and maybe 1 fish. There is even a guy who set up a marine nano tank out of a coffee maker/pot.

I just watched the clip and could not believe how horribly wrong it was. I am relatively new to keeping fish but even I know the basics. That woman was just stupid, stupid, stupid and is going to lead to many fish dying from unproper care.
No one should ever get a pet because of a fad. After 101 Dalamations there were many people that ran out and got puppies for their children and after a few months got over the fad and hundreds of dogs were basically thrown out and given up by their owners. The same happened after Men in Black 2 with Pugs. Pets are not just a toy to be bought and then thrown out when the fun is over. They are a responsibility.

I've known Tetra stuff for almost 40 years. I just browsed Tetra's web-site, includes advice about overstocking, advises buy biggest tanks, etc. etc. It's incredible they can stand behind that rubbish spouted in the clip. Obviously, I don't get these channels, so my first thought was "is the film genuine or some kind of sick joke?"

I assume if the UK and German braches are embarrassed, it must be real.
