could a red claw crab be kept in a marine aquarium or with the salinity be to much thanks

In nature they can spend some of their life in freshwater but most of it in brackish, but they only ever go to marine water to breed, so i wouldn't of thought it would be a good idea . For short periods of time it should be OK though .
