What does rawphos actually do and would it be ok just sat in a juwel filter or would there still need to be the powerhead in there

It removes phosphates from the water. Yep you can just stick it in a filter bag and into your internal.

Yup, put it in a bag in your filter. It removes phosphates and silicates as well as a few other organics.
