For those of you who own/have owned rattys, if you dont mind of course, im looking for people's photos of their ratty's home for inspiration for my ratty's future home.

edit

for thread lol

Just make as large as possible and as changeable as possible.

Our rats get board if the shelfing is not changed, and using bird toy's is very handy with swinging bridges etc etc.

Mmmm thats what im thinking but i get better ideas from pictures lol

Why not say Rat owners then?

Because the majority of rat owners will know what a ratty is and im aiming my question at rat owners, if you dont have or have never had a ratty and have nothing nice to say then please do not post a comment.

I've cleaned this up for you, Floyds mum. To others: If you don't have anything constructive to post on this topic, don't post.

This rat forum has a whole section for positing cage pictures:

Enjoy your rats, they are such great pets!

i wouldnt get a cage with wire shelves tho as as your rats could get bumble-foot from the bars (pretty common)

My rats cage:
It is an Explorer cage
This is it before it was decorated, just after i built it:

Home to the three rats sleeping in the house in the top half picture (on the left of the pic). I've re-arranged some stuff since this pic was taken and added a second wheel, but there is loads of stuff in there lol.

This was their old cage with two different set-ups:

The cage was/is a Freddy 2 by Savic, but is a little bit too small for three rats (one male and two females)

If you want to know what anything is in either of the cages just let me know

I have loads of pics of cages - having had so many different cages over time.
The decorating the cages is the most fun bit - and then watching your ratties enjoy it :D

There are probably a lot more pics of cages lying around on my hard drive but hopefully that should give you some ideas :)

Yeah thanx lol plenty to look at, makes you look like you have hundreds of cages lol.

Just wondering what brands people feed their ratties?
My local pet store have a burgess supa rat, there is pets at home etc.

I fed Burgess but two of my rats are fatties so i swapped to the more expensive Science Selective for the lower protein levels. They went crazy for it
