What is the rarest aquarium brand fish tank you own? Show me your rare pieces of fish equipment and rare fish tank brands.

A tank should be functional and safe. Those are my demands. But brands don't say that much in order to enjoy the aquatic hobby.

Spend less on equipment so you can spend more on plants and fish

It's not that I don't have some brand tanks but most of my tanks are not. And I'm a creative and technical person who also makes his own equipment as much as possible. And If I see something that I can make a tank out of it, I certainly will use it...

Oh yah!! I know!
I have brand tanks as well... Aqueon.
I would love to make my own equipment and stuff, but while living with my parents, that's a bit hard... it can also be more expensive AT TIMES to do that...
For me, I'm on a tight budget, so I like to be a deal finder lol

The rarest for me would be an old stainless/chrome frame tank I had for 10s of years, the ones with tar to hold the glass in. Unfortunately it broke during our last move and I can no longer find the frame. If you are comfortable heating tar they are quite easy to replace the glass if need be.

Most of my tanks are All-Glass now called Aqueon. I do have a couple of tanks I got from glasscages.com.

The logos are raised- they are a small plaque that is glued to the glass. I bought these two tanks used.

We used to have those frame tanks in the olden days as well but we used putty as a glass sealing to the frame.

It could be our tank originally used putty, at the time we had it my father was building large aquariums and for those he had a large 45 gallon drum sized chunk of tar (came in a large cardboard canister) that was used to seat the glass in the fiberglass and steel framed tanks he built. The twenty-gallon tank was repaired a few times by time I inherited it.
