Rare Mosses

how many different types of moss do you have!

Somewhere around 15 to 20 species. Have had the same number of species again pass through my hands over the past few years.

It has taken a few years to build the collection, I have swapped with hobbyists and collectors from all over the world.

I have put in a lot of work distributing mosses to try and get these privately collected ones spread to lots of people so that they remain in the hobby. But, I have more than I can cope with at the moment. So am putting down the gauntlet. Hence this sales thread. I really hope whoever buys them looks after them and is able to share them with other hobbyists. I used to give them away, but then I realised that, on the whole, people do not value them when they are received for free!

Would you do 1 portion of vesicularia sp. and 1 portion of Fontinalis antipyretica 'giant' for £6 posted?

I give you my word that I will take very good care of both mosses, and once they grow I will distribute around to other members for a very small fee :good:

Hi there, could you do:

A portion of crescend moss (Drepanocladus aduncus) & a portion of vesicularia sp. posted for £6 for the two?

Cheers :)

Sorry, the vesicularia sp. is already sold.
I have reserved the crescend moss for you.

The first post is now updated with what is still available.

Okey Dokey :)

Wiror is £5, drep is £5. I am happy to give you a 1/3 off and call it £7.50.
I will pm you my paypal address.

Both really nice mosses.
Drep ay appear a bit stringy at first, but give it time and it grows in a lovely wavy upright way, and when it fills in looks great.

Wiror is a favourite as it is the fuzziest aquatic moss I have ever seen (Peacock is second fuzziest). (I am only clearing it as I know a good friend of mine will continue to grow it).

Just got one portion of crescend moss and one portion of German mini moss left now.
