Yeah. They are little destructive naughty guys though. They pull the rubber lining around car doors off when they are bored. I will be devastated if they go extinct. Currently NZ is trying to make itself a dog and cat free country by 2050 to help eliminate predators. Every animal other than a few lizards and all of the birds are not native and mess up the ecosystem

Fun fact. Learned it a few days ago. There are hieroglyphs of watermelons in ancient Egypt. The Egyptians ate the watermelon seeds but tossed out the fruit. They saved the skins and used them as canteens. People were buried with a watermelon canteen to help them not thirst after death
