Well they are considered to be a bit of a pest snail so it's up to you if you want to keep them. They breed more when there is a lot of detritus and decaying plant matter, extra food in the tank. If you keep your tank clean and don't over feed, the populations will stay somewhat under control. They will eat many types of plants though so if you don't want to see holes in the leaves, I suggest picking them out and disposing of them. Loaches will eat them if they are small enough and if the loaches are large enough. Is it the Clown Loach that you have? They eat snails, I'm not sure about other loach species. Yeah, it's not a snail that you ever have to worry about "buying" as they are very common and usually a person will end up with them at some point in the tank. They will not harm your fish. The only concern is when the snails get big, as this is when they will do the most visible damage to plants and if you happen to have a couple of them die and you don't know about it, the decaying body could pollute your water. It's not as common of a problem as it is with the larger snails(apple etc) but it's something to consider keeping an eye on.
