I would personally get a pair because it would be easier that way if your hoping to breed or anything. But if you don't want to breed it don't think it matters. They should altogether get along.
They would be okay w/the platies. Not sure about the betta and the killifish stays at the top most of the time so I'm sure it would be alright. But my killifish prefers to swim all around the tank.
I have a golden killi so it stays at top. My betta goes everywhere. i dont want them to breed, but i want to get a pair to keep them happy. when they say pair, they mean male and female?
Mines a gold killi too. Maybe mines more adventerous. Yes I think they mean male and female. Otherwise two males would fight and two females don't look too cool.
what ph is your water they prefer a lower ph but aslong as you have a stable ph i dont matter too mutch and these fish can be delicate if you can i'd advise gettin bolivian ram if i was you i'd watch the rams in the store if they look healthy go 4 it also watchin the you might b able to sex them i.e males will begin 2 fight
So will there be problems with the betta? I'm not going to buy the rams until a week after they are in the lfs, just in case. Also, whats the difference between a male and female.
Today im going to see the rams at my lfs. They just got them 2 days ago. I just want to see them now because i have never seen one in reality. next week if nothing happens to the rams ill buy one or maybe a pair.
My local fish shop has just had some rams delivered. They have called them Diamond rams. They look fantastic but not sure if they would be suitable for my tank. I have just had a 30L tank for my birthday which I have 4 guppies in at the moment. Does anyone know much about them. I cant seem to find any info on the net relating to Diamond rams.
In case your wondering This is the first tank I have ever had
