Hi

i just recently got a ram pair in a 30 gal and they constantly keep on fighting

i was told this was mating but im not sure.......any suggestions why?

it's either territorial or they're mating

what other fish are in the tnak with them?

silver sharks, some gouramis and some mollys and a some b nose plecs

Just like Dwarfs,I don't think is a pair, meaning male+female. The female would not fight the male. And no matter how territorial he is,eventually will take the female as his love interest.Something tells me you might have two males or two females. If they look similar, you may have two of the same gender.

Yeah I'd say you have two of the same sex. They dont fight when they mate.

well the female has a curve at the back of her TOP fin and the male doesnt and wen i got those to the guy at the lfs told me they were a pair. and its too late now. the female killed the male :-( but i also think it was because the female was slightly bigger then the male

Having silver sharks in a 30 gallon is a very bad idea!

theyre only 3 inches long. id ont wanna starty anutha fight soo when they get to 5 or 6 inches ill either get anutha tank or sell them to my lfs

how many do you have?

3 inches is....8 cm's?

3 sharks........8 cm! hen they could be 2 inches........not so sure. i got them for $6.50 AUS at my lfs cuz they were little.
