I got 4 mixed mystery snails my last fish purchase… this one is a large dark one… I’m worried he’s / she is going to burn themselves out… it’s the most crazy, active snail I’ve had… it’s been racing around the tank, since it got it, and literally does a full lap around a 45 gallon tall, in a minute, and has held up that activity level for almost two weeks… there is no cover on the tank, so it doesn’t look like it’s trying to escape??? Thoughts…

Edit… I was going to take a picture, but is in the center of the tank, where I can’t get a good picture, and now appears to be taking a nap, or ran it’s self to death…

More on that and a picture, if it’s just resting a bit

What's your tank temperature? Warmer water = more active for snails. If it's the only one doing that, then it may also just be exploring looking for food since it's a new environment.

I’ve been working on other stuff today… snail is back to running… but paused long enough to eat a shed snail shell… the missing part of the snail shell looks like it’s repairing, and it as that way when it came here…

Didn’t stop for long…. 1 minute later, and he’s already on his 2 nd side of the glass

Cool colours! I have two with pink shell and cream body, two with purple shell and brown body. Perhaps I could do some races with them all
