Don't mean to butt in and be rude but like bxbetta said in my thread about me upgrading my 1g give people the benefit of the doubt. Also in case you didn't know arrowhead is somewhat new to bettas and maybe he/she can't reconize dieases like you can.

I am actually new to bettas and would like to get the benefit of the doubt...But also dont want to start an aruguement of me not knowing anything...It is true that I shoudve known something was up and that all bettas shouldnt be lazy...I'll use that in my future expriences... :) ...

go to aquabid.com and look around there.

There 2 expensive there asking for 20 bucks for a veil tail...And thats without the shipping...

Actually, I bought 1 GORGEOUS female Blue Marble Super-Delta from Aquabid for $6 + $20 shipping. If you get Priority, it's only $10. And the breeder sent me 4 sibling girls for free! I actually sold 2 of the girls to people from my Betta club and I made back all of the money I spent on them ;) There are PLENTY of good deals on AB, if you are patient and check around often.

:( sorry about your baby. I don't really understand how she could've died of fin rot without you noticing ~ because usually Bettas die of fin rot after it has reached or is near their body, and then it's SEVERELY noticable. But, she also could've gotten infection. Just an FYI, that was most likely because she was in a 1/2 gallon tank with an ADF. That's just too much waste in too little water, unless 100% water changes were done every single day.

He had an ADF in there to  I thought there was only supposed to be one ADF for every gallon of water. A half a gallon is to small for a ADF and a female betta together.

She was alone in a 1 gallon tank...Of course not with an adf...1 gallon tanks are only enough for a betta...
