Quietest Air Pump I Can Get?

Hi

I have a 200L hagen tank with an external fluval filter/pump.
I recently bought a bubble wall to go along the back to look pretty and an airpump that id read was very quiet (Tetratec APS APS100)

My big external pump is practically silent but I found that the new air pump was horribly noisy, even in my hand (ie it wasnt the surface vibrating but the unit itself).

Does anyone know a really REALLY quiet one I can get instead?
Doesnt need to be V powerful, its not to drive a filter or anything, just to make a few pretty bubbles!

This one was probably even more noisy than the airpump i had for my biorb previously, is it just that all airpumps are noisy??

Id really like to have some bubble, but my husband will NOT put up with any noise!!

Rena & Aqua One Precision air pumps are quiet. Go to your LFS and ask to hear a few of them running. Put your fingers over the outlets and see how much noise they make.

I use the Eheim Air pump and would say that it is totally silent. I tried the tetratec and a few others untill I found one that I couldn't hear, like your husband I will not put up with any unnecesary noise.

I bought an Eheim 100 (model no.3701) yesterday.I've been after a quiet pump for some time.Anyway its plugged in,its bubbling away,and the wife hasn't noticed it yet(and she's about 6 feet from it).Yes,its that quiet!!!

I have a couple of the Whisper models and they work rather quietly. They make noise but it's not too loud.

I have a Tetratec APS one and I can only really hear the bubbles, rather than the pump.

i can recomend the ehime 400 airpump thats quiet but i wouldnt bother with the interpet ones there noisey but the best one i have had is a supperfish airpump sitting on its box
