hi all just want some advice on pruning i have some elodea and mygriophyllum matogrossense (i think thats how you spell it) just want tips on pruning and replanting

cheers howard

Both of those you can just cut anywhere on the stem and replant the bit you've cut off. BTW do you mean Myriophyllum matogrossense? That plant is in the same family as parrots feather, which is a horribly invasive species that if allowed to spread into the wild in the UK will choke any and all water bodies it enters, and once its in there is no way to remove 100% it, so please be very careful :)

cheers sam yeah i think its the right one. really never even knew would i be best getting rid of it?

TBH I think the type you have is the red one? If it is the risk may be low as it'll need lots of TLC to grow properly, the type of TLC it'll only really get in an aquarium. However, I would still be careful not to allow to much of it to go down the drain, bin what you can. And of course dont go adding it to any lakes or rivers!

cheers sam no wouldnt do a daft thing like that, so if i get rid of it would you be able to tell of a nice red plant to go into my tank. also som good foreground if you wouldnt mind

cheers howard

Do you want the same sort of shape? i.e. fine leaves and stem plant? If you have a pic of the tank that might help with suggestions :)
