Actually, they are a schooling fish so you will probably want to get 3 or more if you can. With a 20 gallon tank you will have plenty of room.

Check out the cory section on this forum and you will see how much the people there love them! Corys and gouramis are my favorites!

can they eat flakes because in there all it said was "all prepared and live food"

Corys will eat flake food if it reaches the bottom. Sometimes you will want to add other foods that sink to make sure they do not go hungry.

They also like algae discs, dried, frozen or live bloodworms or tubiflex worms, shrimp pellets, etc. They are easy to please!
