Fish Crazy
Hello everyone,
I've been doing some research on diy lighting options and finally decided to go with the Hagen line.
The type with the electronic ballast for 2 T8s. Here is a pic of what I'm talking about. Now I've never bought any other kit like this so I can say this is the best I've bought so far
Fairly simple looking to install. I purchased these under reference from SuperColey and I'm definitely impressed with I got.
To me, it looks like good quality stuff.
....Well, the item I received was not as described. It was advertised as accepting ANY standard T8. The box I'm holding in my hand is in fact a 30w double for T10s. Model # A-1575 to be exact. It clearly states its for 32 & 38mm bulbs instead. I think the item in the box I got was the the wrong from my description. I planned on using this on my 30 gallon tall (24" length) until I see that this kit is for t10 bulbs.
Does anyone know if they make t10s that are shorter than 24 inches long? Or is there any way I can mod the end caps to accept T8s? I really don't want these to go to waste or get rid of them so it would be super if there some options for this problem. If not, I guess I can keep them for some other tank in the future
