Question About Temp

I am getting ready to do a water change in my 1/2g and the temp the betta is like 70 or 72 and I have heated the water in the second bowl I'm putting him in. But I was wondering if I could just net him and put him in the warm water or would I have to float him in a bag for a while?

If the temp is the same as the bowl he's in just put him in straight away, if not get the temp to match one another.

No like I said in my first post the bowl the betta is in the temp is 69 or 72 and the temp of the other bowl is 78 because I was able to warm the water up to 78. So should I just scoop him up into a bag and once the temp in the bag is the same as the bowl
