hello, i am setting up my first reef tank. i have a long 55 US gal 48 x 13 x 20. Metal halides are not in my price range. Would T5 HO 4 x 54 watt system would do the job?. Also would i have to have a fan or a chiller, would these give of alot of heat because they sell lighting on ebay but with no fans. i was looking at the Current USA Nova Sundial 4 x 54 for $277.00. Also what would be a decent protein skimmer with a good price for a 55 gal?. Replies are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Living in florida heat will definitely be an issue regardless of what light you choose. does the house have air conditioning, cause you'll NEED it in the summer ;)

The T5's will work for softies and some LPS, but would not be enough to support clams/sps/anemones
