I have 5 grown mollies and a couple of small fry hiding in one of my plants. they were born last night some time, as hard as i look i can only see those two so i assume the others were eaten, i'm not sure which one of the adults gave birth but i noticed a particularly chubby one is being constantly followed by another who appears to be "sniffing" her rear end. might this be the one who gave birth and if so, does she have more to drop or is there maybe some other reason for this "sniffing"? i've noticed a couple of other ones getting close enough to this one to check out her backside also. any idea what might be happening?

hya.It could of been any of the mollies.Do you know which ones are female and which are male?Did you notice one of them hiding near the back and becoming moody. This oculd of been the mother, what are you going to do with the fry?

Hiya,
I have mollies and fry. I also don't know which ones the mother.. Its out of my 2 marble mollies becuase the fry r black and white. They both look pretty chubby so im guessing they were both pregnant when i got them as it wasn't very long ago.
I have also noticed fish swimming up to my fish... but funnily not the mollies... but my 2 female guppies. I think its the men showing interest in the ladie. Im not exsactly sure :S but i would just let them be.. as i don't think this behavior is a cause 2 worry!

Mail me if u would like to keep update with me.. so we can help each other with our mollies

The 'sniffing' is the males trying to make a few more fry :)
Suggest you secure the fry in a breeding net or another tank before they get eaten.
